Firms Take Home American Association of Political Consultant’s Campaign Excellence Award for Best Use of New Technology
(Denver, CO) April 9, 2012 – iModerate and Catalist won the 2013 Pollie Award for best use of technology during the 2012 campaign for their Voter Insider product. Winners were presented by the American Association of Political Consultants (AAPC) at the Annual Pollie Awards & Conference on April 5th at the Hyatt Regency, Washington, DC.
Voter Insider is an online research solution for the political, advocacy and civic engagement arena. It allows users to target respondents real time based on items such as verified vote history and modeling scores and seamlessly engage them in any number of research activities including online surveys and one-on-one conversations. During the 2012 election cycle it was used by pollsters and strategic communication firms alike to test a wide variety of messages, ads and concepts.
“To have won in this category during this past election cycle is an incredible honor,” said Carl Rossow, Founder of iModerate. “There were so many game-changing technologies employed in 2012. We always knew ours made a difference and solved a problem, that much was made crystal clear by our clients, but to have Voter Insider be recognized by the industry in this fashion is an unexpected and amazing distinction. We are excited about its future applications for academia and public policy research.”
The Campaign Excellence Awards are a longstanding tradition of the AAPC and recognize those individuals that have significantly contributed to the success of a candidate or public affairs campaign and whose conduct has been consistent with the professional code of ethics of the AAPC. This year, there were 135 nominations in 15 categories from the AAPC membership and political consulting community at large. Each nomination was vetted by an Independent Panel of Judges and recommendations were voted upon and confirmed by the AAPC Board of Directors.
