Four Honors Bestowed to Research Now.
At the MRIA 2016 National Conference, Annie Pettit, PhD, CMRP, VP, Data Quality at Research Now and Chief Research Officer at Peanut Labs, was named a Fellow of the Canadian Marketing Research and Intelligence Association (MRIA). Fellowship is the highest honor that MRIA can bestow upon one of its members and is conferred through a rigorous nomination and election process.
MRIA fellows exceed the standards and expectations of a Certified Marketing Research Profession (CMRP) designated member, in that their accomplishments and contributions include the very highest level of practice which stands as a model for others within the profession. Fellows are ambassadors for the Market Research community, helping to educate people about the marketing research industry and the MRIA.
Pettit was recently promoted to the role of VP, Data Quality for Research Now. In this role, she takes on responsibility for all aspects of respondent quality. “Annie will be taking a broader role in data quality and panel standards for Research Now globally,” said Gary S. Laben, CEO, Research Now. “We are fortunate to have someone of Annie’s caliber setting the bar both internally and externally, and serving as our spokesperson for quality.”
“We are thrilled that Annie Pettit’s accomplishments and commitment to the marketing research industry have been recognized by the MRIA,” said Noman Ali, CEO, Peanut Labs. “Her sampling and survey expertise is highly regarded among our employees and our clients, and I’m glad that her contributions to the industry have been recognized by Canada’s top marketing research association as well.”
Pettit has been an active and vocal member of the market research industry for more than fifteen years. She has served on numerous industry committees working to develop and promote industry ethics and standards, and is currently the Canadian Chair of the ISO/TC 225 Market, Opinion, and Social Research Standards committee. She is a relentless educator who is regularly invited to speak at conferences, having spoken at over 50 market research conferences worldwide. Pettit is also a prolific blogger on industry-leading market research topics.
In addition to her current blogging and public speaking, Pettit has written a book on social media research, published more than 20 articles in industry magazines, and formerly served as the Editor in Chief of MRIA’s Vue magazine for three years. Pettit has garnered several awards for her efforts, including the MRIA Award of Outstanding Merit, the ESOMAR Excellence Award for the Best Paper, the ESOMAR Best Methodological Paper Award, and the David K. Hardin Award.
Additional honors given to Research Now at the MRIA 2016 National Conference include the CMRP certification for Jeremy Mullin and Annie Pettit, and the MRIA Award for Excellence Behind the Scenes. The MRIA Award for Excellence Behind the Scenes is awarded in recognition of efforts, such as technological advancement, data collection, recruiting, data processing, and analysis, that enable the completion of market research projects that do not have direct client contact. This year’s award recognizes the Research Now Client Team’s support delivering the Shopper Intelligence Study.
