DENVER—September 29, 2014—Chelsea Gibbons, a QualitativeDirector at iModerate, a leading qualitative research firm, has been awarded a Young Professionals Grant by the Qualitative Research ConsultantsAssociation (QRCA), a not-for-profit association of researchers who are involved in the design and implementation of qualitative research. QRCA awarded the grants to outstanding research professionals under the age of 35, each of whom are invited to attend the QRCA Annual Conference in New Orleans October 15-17 free of charge.
One of just 15 winners chosen from a pool of more than 100 applicants, Gibbons has been with iModerate for six years, beginning as a moderator and rising up the ranks of the company to the director level. Criteria for the award were that the applicants’ professional role must consist of designing, conducting and analyzing qualitative research, or be in training to conduct these activities. Each applicant was required to submit a personal statement on why they believe they qualify for the award.
“Chelsea truly embodies what it means to raise the bar on qualitative research,” said Jen Drolet, iModerate’s Managing Partner. “She is continually looking for opportunities to think more broadly about research and to learn from others inside and outside the company – which she will be able to explore at next month’s QRCA annual conference. We’re pleased to have her represent iModerate there.”
The QRCA’s goal is to promote excellence in the field of qualitativeresearch by pooling members’ expertise to create a base.
